put the timing chain on correctly and set the timing CORRECTLY then run a compression test. chances are very good that you have at least one bent valve but the compression test will show if they were bent bad enough to warrant pulling the head off.
if it was a perfect 180* out then the valves shouldnt have made contact since the valves would be opening on the compression stroke and closing on the exhaust stroke. 10 degrees off and the motor would have had serious binding issues and if rotated with the starter valves would be bent badly.
fix the chain, run compression. if you post and I dont reply that day send me a pm.
DONT FORGET the 8m bolt (12mm head) under the distributor drive gear. its in that pool of oil the gear rids in.
