could be either still ive seen the cable just "pop" off the back of the cluster as well you need to pull the cluster out to see what your problem it if you pull it out and the cable is still securely attached you will need to replace either the cluster or the cable it you have someone spin the cable under the truck with a drill and watch it in the truck and it spins then your cluster is bad if both ends do not spin you have a break in the cable somewhere and need a new cabel :thumbs:
