i never tighten my hub nuts more than a very firm hand tight, and by the way my truck has 374000 miles to date, why ?? i actually was taught this by an old wise man, aka my dad, when serviceing rear axle bearings on large trucks, run the nut down with a ratchet, spin tire, back off and hand tighten
