ok cool thanks guys i have a 84 2wd sr5 ext cab its bagged all the way around lays frame so there is no inner fender wells but thats good explaining thanks on the help i was just wondering i seen an add on craigslist a guy was selling 4wd fenders but said they wont fit on a 2wd but ive seen tons of people doing it so wasnt sure if there was a certain year i had to use or not

The same generation fenders will work on either a 2wd or 4wd truck.

For reference, the front 4x4 fenders are about 2" wider than the 2wd, and the wheel well opening is a bit wider as well.  The rear fenders on the the 4x4 bed are also wider, by about 1.5".  The 2wd truck above has the 4x4 bed on it.
