Ya I was figuring something like that.  The seal I dont care about since I have this other seal from the 79.  Maybe if I use a hot knife and cut the seal apart to save the windshield.  Then I would atleast save the most costly part.  Plus I really want to keep this original windshield as I am somewhat restoring this 79.  It has the teq in the lower left corner.
