Since i have been down this road b4 i will say that there is alot of little differences between a re and rte, here are a few things that are diffrent pcm, afm, injectors, and ignitor. There are also a few extra sensors on the rte. If u want to swap a rte out for a re make sure u have the entire engine, wiring harness, afm, and ignitor. So pretty much u want the whole deal from another truck if u don't want a big head ache on your hands lol. You can also maybe check on 22rte-trucks.com they have helped me many of time with my rte motors.
