there isn't a crush sleave in the tcase, so if keeps loosening up after you tighten it, assuming your bending the lock tab over on the nut to lock it in place, i would say you have a bearing thats on its way it.  everything you told me a couple of weeks ago when i was in town about how your detroit was acting sounds normal.  the only time your going to get it to completely disenguage is by pushing in the clutch all the way around turns or putting it in neutral and roll through your turns.  as far as the kicking and popping when taking off, every now and then is normal, but not all the time.  I might be thinking of someone elses truck, but wasn't there something weird with the pinion bearing a while ago when you first put it in right before you went on your camping trip?

If you can't convince them, confuse them.
