does anyone know if the 22RE have the same oil pickup as the 22R? i would assume so but i'm not sure and you know what happens when you assume, you make an

Yep, they are identical! just get yourself a 22r or 22re 4x4 oil pan and pickup tube! I had that same problem with a 20r celica engine in my 84 reg cab.... my axle was moved way forward and I only had push pull..... climbing my oil would all run to the back of the pan and starve for oil.... it was gay
