I'm going back to Toyota and get a replacement gasget and another set of half moons and some alt brushes.
Excellent call, best $10-15 you'll spend at the dealer! Hardest part of the swap is pulling the alt out. I'm always a little irritated when I hear of people buying a kragen/autozone alternator, then crying when it craps out prematurely.
