don't weld it flush.. move it forwards about a half inch I would atleast. You can still accomplish a great shackle angle by using second or third gen rears. First gen rears are a little shorter. I have always welded hangers on a little forwards to keep the tires as far forwards as possible.Also not talking poop but moving the hanger forward changes the approach angle in no way. The springs he uses are the springs he uses its going to have the same approach if the hanger is 3ft forwards or two inches the distance from the centerpin the eye on the spring will be the same no matter what.
