I prefer having a selectable locker in the front. There are lots of times where a locker only gets in the way. I'll run both diffs open until I start to get stuck. If I can't get thru with the rear ARB, I'll then engage the front, then it's no problem. It's nice to be able to disengage the front as soon as I'm done with the obstacle, so my steering goes back to normal.

You could do a detroit or lincoln locker and a hydro (full/assist), but that is brute strength, and I'd be worried about breaking stuff. I'm all about doing things as gently as possible and with finesse.
