i'm gonna go raise hell at the shop tomorrow. i got bent over good, i spend that much money, the damned thing better do the dishes and clean the bathroom for me too. the breakdown for the rebuild was like this:
overhaul labor $125
carb kit $65
float $60!!!!!
extra labor to free up siezed secondary $25
chemicals $850
came out to $285 without tax, $309 with it
i took it there because they were the only place in town that i could find that regularly rebuilt carbs, one shop said they couldn't rebuilt it unless it was on the truck
and i didn't wanna trust an autozone carb.
