dude you can be in the sas cheeper than 1100. Granted its not a toy axle and its different to do the break lines and all that buisiness but if you search and check everything out on the axle before you buy it im sure you can find one with good breaks and what not. The most expensive part is the axle rebuilding and swapping from to to that so you have to go in with a plan and decide what pinion you want on your D-line and all that what break lines yada....
For the fab part you can just rock 44044s some cheep long travel shocks. You can go the cheep route for some f150 towers, make your own hanger, build a square D-line, there isn't much more. Steering will be expensive depending on the route you go but I would just do it right and get high steer not cross over just because you won't regret it.
I say with out the axle if you fab everything you can you could be into the swap about 500 bucks including all supplys.
That gives you 600 for an axle, which should cover an axle steering and break lines pretty easily.
