You only get half as much as the shackle, going from 6" to 5" will only lower it 1/2", and that is if the shackle is vertical, if you have a decent shackle angle it's less, although it may flop over and rest the spring eye on the frame. Why not just borrow a set of tiny tires to get you through inspection?
