Im in the same boat. some one jacked the pod from my truck on recycling night. Right in front of my house! And they didn't bother to unplug it from the tape deck thingy, or press eject to get the tape deck thingy as well, they ripped the wire out so now we each have half.
The good, new ipods are cheaper than when i got this one
The better, i have lived pod free for three weeks and its liberating
