Appears the triple drilled flange isn't for a Taco.

1963-8/69 FJ40, 1979-83 Hilux, 64mm x 56mm x 8mm
1984+ Pickup, 60mm x 60mm x 10mm (non-CV)
1986-87 Turbo, 1988+ V6, FJ60, 66mm x 66mm x 11mm

The taco flanges are larger than this.  Get a Taco flange.  If marlin doesn't have it, I got mine from High angle driveline.

Owned by reading comprehension.  I don't know why your '85 d-line CV won't bolt to that triple drilled flange.

2nd edit:  You said the CV joint was built.  Was it the one that you sent in?  (Ie, '85 cv)  The taco cv's are larger than those tripled drilled flanges, so the new flange will be too small for a taco CV.

Hopefully this helps.  haha.
