Its my fualt guys.  I had that dual row timing chain off the a pretty much new engine and I thought with the shorter oil pump drive gear and the cover we could make it work.  Guess the newer RE blocks are shorter by a cm so it just wasnt gonna happen.  I KNOW I can make the stock timing chain cover work from an RE engine but time wasnt on our side.  We worked on his motor till early morning.  Jim is getting a lesson in prep for engine parts.  He just needs to be slapped around to learn  :therethere:  :smack:  Anyhow guess ill be driving back to fremont to help him finish.  Teach me for being a nice guy. LOL Jim its all good bud ill get down there as soon as I get the time.  Just get that timing chain and cover installed so we can slap the head on and get the engine back in your truck.   I am heading to Vellajo in a few mins to sort thru all this 1 gen stuff and figure out whats going up for sale.   Ill give ya a call when I get a chance.

Oh and ill post some of the pics I took tonight. Forgot camera at shop yesterday.  I was there till 930 swapping my transfer cases.  The one on the L52 trans was very trashed due to water and my old on from the L50 is working perfect.  So I am glad thats all done.  Later
