if you want to run chevies here is what i suggest.   I would consider running a 57 inch wagoneer main leaf.  you would have to weld your front hangers 10.5 inches forward.   then I would get a chevy pack and cut them down to fit the waggy main.  you could use your stock rear hangers on the truck and still get as much flex just not as much rock anchoring.....
