Excessive oil pressure can literally blow out a bearing. looks similar to an overloading failure if caught early, causes spun bearings if not caught early. Its common on chevy sb cam bearings with 80+ pounds of oil pressure. It would happen several times a year on sprint car motors when the driver decided not to let the car warm up before turning 7500rpm. We had a few motors come in with wash outs when people would put a high pressure oil pump in thinking the more pressure the better.
