You have to remember that it is the same car as the Plymouth Laser and the Eagle Talon, just different trim levels were available depending on the brand.
It is, but they're re-badged with the plymouth and eagle names and are still mitsubishis. A lot of their issues early on was that they'd pack the cars with lots of neat little features and gadgets, but the r&d and engineering wasn't there to keep the dependability of those up. Too much too quick. I think the only things they've done well enough were trucks and home electronics!
