if you are worried about the water freezeing you can go to most pet stores and get a heated water bowl. they just plug into any outlet and have a small heating element to keep the water somewhat warm. even if they don't have any they should be able to order one for you. we have one for our cats and it keeps it liquid even with how cold it can get in western colorado
