Yeah - high revs in an old motor plus loads of oil all over the place usually means you blew a chunk of a ring from the stress and everything's taking the easy way out...(instead of slow blow-by which most of these old trucks get over time) I'd have also suggested a gasket or valves, but 700 miles is too new unless you literally just about put it in backwards.
