In those first 1000 miles i overheated due to a clutch fan going out. i got up to 250, yeah i know thats bad but when it cooled i fixed the fan and everything seemed fine. for about two weeks, then the stumble (major prob #1 started.
could i have damaged my head gasket minorly so that when its cold it does not seal perfectly but once it warms up the metal expands and in turn sealing it up and running good.

you blew the headgasket enough that it leaks bad when cold
and if i pull the head to do so, i will have to replace the head gasket, and maybe resurface the head.
your head has to come off , get the ROCK gasket kit from enginbuilder, its a Multi Layer Steel gasket
