I doubt Bobby would change the design unless it was to increase strength.  Some people will just increase the rig abuse until something breaks.  Given enough time people are figuring out ways to break longfields because it allows them to go far beyond anything they had before.

I doubt the avg. joe would ever have to worry about breaking one.
