There are spings and pins in an Aussie. 

Bare with me its been like a year since I had the conversation, maybe someone can clear this up. When I spoke with the guy who invented the Aussie he told me the reason it was such a better improvement over the Lockrite (which he also worked on) was because it eliminated some aspect of the spring/pin design that was weak on the lockrite. he told me you have to rebuild lockrites every few years but never have to rebuild an aussie. I think its on a pirate thread about aussie lockers.
