miss= engine miss-fire aka that particular cylinder is not producing power, this can be caused by a bad spark plug, a bad sparkplug wire , a bad fuel injector(less likely) , bad rings (less likely) or a bent valve
you need to run a compression check and see what the compression is on each cylinder
compression testers can be bought at any parts store for $20
remove all spark plugs then screw in the tester hose, attach gauge hit the starter and let the engine spin freely a few revolutions
write down the results (good is 120 plus-170 psi)
then repeat on all 4 cylinders
post your results
if you remove the spark plugs and find a dirty plug that might be your trouble
removing the plug wire and it not making the engine die tells me that cylinder was bad
