Just like so many hybrids, they're made to make people feel better about themselves and feel like they're making less of a negative impact. These are probably the same people who make a big deal out of what little they contribute to charities so everybody knows how good they are. I'm down with the prius, but I really kinda feel like hybrids in general are a joke. Cars can be efficient without having to have hybrid technology, but lead foots don't help either
