wish i would have seen this sooner.  i had the seals replaced in my fuel filter a couple months ago.  same thing would happen, it was have a pool of diesel on the ground and i could smell it everywhere under the truck.  looked like it was running of the back of the engine and down onto the bellhousing.  glad you got it fixed.
