well i got a call from schwabs today, and after further evaluation, they have decided to total the car.
they offered me 5000.00 to settle.
the kbb is 8265, and i also put nearly 3k of this years tax return into the car in upgrades
so i comprised a list of equivelent cars and thier average price
it ended up being 8234.25
i added 1700 for wheels and tires that had less than 50 miles on them for a total of 9834.25
i told them i would settle for this number.
am i out of line?? i dont think so
i couldnt replace the car for 5k and they know it..so why offer that?? the cheapest es300 i found was 3 years older and 5995.00....so i have proof that i coulnt replace the car
i a little more then pissed
