i agree, the FJ is the closest for toyota.

Yeah i dont really count the FJ in the same category as the PW and rubi. even the h3 does a better job. The FJ was designed by some desk jockey that had never wheeled before. Yes, they did a lot of research on what to put in it equipment wise, they totaly over looked one very important factor: visibility. one of the many great things about the old cruisers was they were small and had incredible visibility. the new one lack both of those points. All the lockers and gears dont do you any good when you cant see worth a damn out the back of the truck.

I just wish they had taken clues from the powerwagon and the rubicon. a package where you get a beefed up Taco or 4runner with offroading in mind. the FJ is a step in the right direction for sure. hopefully they will get at least something of a hint from the rubicon and go in THAT direction.

Probably the reason they cant keep up with the American market is because its completely different than the rest of the world and ever changing. strong, reliable, solid axles ect VS. comfort, smooth ride, butt warmers and cars that parallel park themselves.

Anyway back on topic, what do you guys think of my motorbike project. i find offroad bumpers are excellent for fab material
