If it is a connecting rod bearing, you will need to pull the crank and measure the rod journals with a micrometer. If they are not up to spec, and are galled, you will need to have them ground and polished, and will have to get oversize bearings. The other option would be to find a donor engine with a bad top end, and either swap the good parts in, or swap the block entirely. I just replaced the crank in my 22r-e because of a spun bearing. I had an old engine to get the crank out of, and it was in very good shape, so it went right in. But, I had to pull the engine to swap it out.
It ain't worth doin' if you don't have to clean up afterwards!

Build it, break it, fix it, repeat until your wallet is empty.
