If the law was changed so that if you brought suit and lost...you would pay the costs of the defendant, there would be far fewer attempts to "get rich quick".

  there should be a pit outside all courthouses.  If somebody comes in with an obvious frivelous or trumped up lawsuit they'd be taken out, dumped in the pit and left to rott with all the other drains on society.  All forms of insurance would drop and become more affordable, and I may be able to *gasp* afford health insurance 

Kinda like the hole in the middle of Sparta?    I can see it now, some judge in his robes, raising his foot and kicking someone in the chest, screaming "This, is STUPID!!"
