Cam, Header and full exhaust, electric fan, port polish, bigger valves, I wonder what gains I would get?
go to a parts house and buy a "compression test kit" about $20, remove all 4 spark plugs and go from there,
unless you are going torebuild the engine dont throw money into a port and polich since this requires rebuilding of the head
you CAN install a cam without disturbing the headgasket but its a chance you can, i have the exact cam i posted for you, and wouldnt trade it for anything
if you DO remove the head for a new gasket, have it milled but ONLY enough to smooth it out DO NOT take .030 off thats stupid, will require running a higher grade gasoline, i did this on a celica with great results, tried it on my truck and the first time i towed i blowed a piston to pieces because of detonation
and a 20R head WILL NOT work on a 85 block
lets see what else OH, you can do the cam now and add the header later but GET RID OF THE STOCK tube after the twin pipes go to a single pipe, the single pipe MUST be a 2 1/4 inch tube or the cam wont show you its potential
