86 and up axles have bigger drum brakes too 10 in instead of 8 which makes a big difference with the 1 inch master cyl and v6 ifs calipers and fj80 rotors. I got that set up and love it... can lock all 4 35's up on the pavement. Also the 90 and up e-brake wont work with the old set up.
