I had a loud tapping noise coming from the back of the head and i was 100% sure it wasent an exhaust leak. It sounds just like and exhaust leak. And this is a re-man engine with only 18k on it. So i pulled the head and now im pretty convinced its a burnt/warped leaking exhaust valve. That could be your problem.
