FWIW, I'm using a TPS from a 91 or 92 ( I forgot what year) camry in my 86 4runner.  It's been in there for 3 years and easily passed the CA smog check twice.  Idles perfect and since it's a pocket item at the local pick-n-pull, cost was $2.
