Hottrod81- I swap a late model 22RE into my 1984 4runner about 5 years ago. I sold that truck too
. I used Off Road Solutions wire kit for the conversion. I would recommend them for any Toyota engine harness. I found an EFI 4runner fuel tank and steel lines from a 1987 4runner. That made the swap so much easier. With the ORS harness it’s a very easy swap and can be done in 2 weekends.
