? what t/o bearing are you using. what year toy, and trans. there are like 3 diffrent t/o bearing early up to 87, then 1 piece to 93, then a similar after that with a longer bearing, i did run in to 1 v-6 that the bellhousing was about a 1.5 in. longer than others, but the noise u could be hearing could be the t/o hitting the weights, and over extending you,r slave could be a short t/o bearing.
