i say, if posssible, wait until you can get a hold of a IFS rear axle that doesn't leak. then just swap axles. that's what i did. drove on my leaky axle seal for over 3 years without topping it off once. now it's time to upgrade to the IFS which will give me NO leaky seals! 2 birds with one stone. oh, since i'll have to disconnect the brake lines...im upgrading to the 26" lines while im at it. oh, and i found a 17gal gas tank too. and since i have to drop the gas tank to disconnect the ebrake cable to do the swap, i throwing that in too....4 birds total.
