i have a w56. Ipulled A guy out of the ditch a mo ago.now my trany makes noise in 1,2,3 4th sounds good but now jumps out. 5th sounds like 2 kick boxers fighting. What it wrong???
You have a wasted front input bearing

And because it is the front bearing, 4th gear is popping out. (When you shift into 4th, the input is moving forward and jumps out of gear). Quit driving this trans before you break the input gear teeth!
When the bearing goes away, it sends harden metal debri thurout the transmission. It is time for a rebuild and I have a upgraded maximun bearing application for your trans.
