youre correct, and neither are gel cells.

only 690cca...doesnt seem like that much. i want at least 800cca's in anything i buy, other than that i dont know anything about them

unless you're winching, or welding, it is unnecessary. I will guarantee that 600CCA will start any vehicle(I mean passenger vehicles and light trucks, not Kenwoths and/or a D-9) What you need to remember is that CCA are what the battery will/should have at 0* Fahrenheit, so unless you live where the temp is really low, they aren't that important of a rating.
