. Well both T-case are forward shift and would need to be converted to a top shift( only for the front sence you have a top shift in the 79 truck now ) if your going for a L52. If you go with a G54 then 1 case will work for the crawl box and put your 79 case in the back. Your 79 T-case has a rasied spline on the input and will only work in the back of the 4spd. All you have to do is swap it out with a 81-83 input. I'll give you the gear input gear when your ready. I would go with the L52HD
. With the modifations installing the longer trans its not worth it unless it was a R :grinhat: series Trans( IMO ).
