not sure what you are going to do about parts, but the 2wd crossmember is welded on, it isnt bolted on..... and the 4x2 tranny and 4x4 tranny are not the same... you cant jsut put a 2wd tranny into a 4x4 and keep it 4x4..... the 4x2 is different as it has a male output shaft and the 4x4 has a female output shaft that then mates to the transfercase... gutwise they are the same, but they are not compatible with each other unless you plan on tearing both trannies down and swapping hte parts, if they are even the same series of tranny.....
