 BTW, do you know that "they" plowed or graded garcia ridge.  I went up there and was dismayed at the trail. I think my Volvo could make it to the end of the trail.No joke. :rivers:

I was there the week before they graded it and it was getting very interesting.  The bottom turn at the gate and the first loose rocks next to the tree were getting nasty.   :greengrin:  Then I come back two weeks later and it's a freakin highway.  I could understand a water bar or some erosion control bu they ripped out the rock steps and everything.  I was stunned, after all it IS an official 4x4 trail.  I haven't been all the way to the end so I'm not sure how that "interesting" section is these days.  The "bypass" is open at the top, so you can lock your hubs. ;)

At least we still have the scary "stairsteps":
