Re: Opinions on Downey springs

i ordered mine from some truck performance place a couple weeks ago, i've got my 2" rears in the garage but my fronts haven't been shipped yet(hopefully soon, they say 2 weeks average from the factory).  i would've gotten skyjackers, but the selling point for me on the downeys is that they're the only "cheap" spring with a military wrap.  the rears seem springy so i'll see how they are when i put my overload leave(s) in the packs

anyone else who has them, did you use just one or both of your overloads?

If you are refering to the factory Toy overloads, get the Downey overloads and toss those factory ones in your scrap pile. The first set of Downey's I purchased I got them with the Downey overloads and loved it. The set I have now don't and I wish they did, all those factory ones do is limit your travel and flatten (sag) out the pack. A couple of my club members got their first (and last) set of Downey's when I got my first set and they didn't get the Downey overload, they sagged out in a year, while I ran mine for 4 years before I sold the truck and as far as I could tell they never sagged, and I used to put a cab-over camper on my truck.
