A interlock pin access plug
B 1/2 detent spring and ball
C 3/4 detent spring and ball
D Rev/5 detent spring and ball
Our heavy duty t-case spring is the wrong size and length. I have seen washers installed behind the 6mm allen head plug but it is a waist of time.
The problem is not a weak spring.
Because all Toyota transmissions use helical cut gears, there will be always be side loades created.
Your worn transmission can no longer hold the side load and as a result, it is walking out of gear.
If you contuine to hold it in gear, the alumiun alloy 1/2 fork will fail.
You need to fix the problem, sorry, there is no cheap fix.
Common problems;
Begin by replacing the seat and socket
Failed center mainshaft retainer plate
Worn bearing
Worn 1/2 fork
Worn 1/2 hub on thrust side
