the w58 is a transmission the transfer case behind it is a chain drive case.

If you are running a 22re and not running dual cases... its going to take you a while to destroy that chain drive case. I am actually curious how much HP it will take to spin those tires on just smooth flat ground.
I am pretty sure that they use the same chain drive transfer case behind the 3.4 v6 which puts out almost twice the power 190 hp and 220 ft lbs of torque VS the 108hp and  140 ft lbs of torque that your 22re puts out.

Is your truck a regular cab or an extra cab? I am wondering, since I feel you are going to run some lift, if running a divorced 205 from a ford wouldn't be a bad idea.
If you have an extra cab, you could probably keep your stock transmission and transfer case. Remove your shift interlock pin, use your front toyota transfer case output as a PTO. run a jack shaft down to the 205 with the 205 mounted lower to keep all your driveshaft angles better. I wouldnt recommend this setup on a shorter regular cab without actually taking measurements myself.
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.
