Money isn't the issue in this case, although if I can accomplish the same thing at no cost then why not. If I was looking to clean up under the hood, for looks, then the kit would be fine.
It would only take minutes to do what's in the link, and the same for reversing it. Thats what's appealing to me. I'm still wondering if there would be any negative effects to leaving everything hooked up and just blocking the one port. I'm also not sure how much heat that piece of aluminum would be exposed to and if it could stand up to it.
