Sounds like you have a bad bearing in it. You will need a rebuilt transmission. Use the transmission identification chart to figure out what you have.

If your truck is fairly stock and the transmission haven't been changed you will either have an L-52 or a G-52. You want the G-52. It will have a removable bellhousing.
