So, turns out on Friday night I broke one of my chromoly CV's.... I run TG 27 spline Chromos with stock axles and hubs. I think it happened when driving up a steep rocky climb, turning slightly left, at 12000rpm. I heard a small crack but nothing like a CV or axle breaking noise.
The cage that holds the balls actually let go. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Had me wondering whether that is made out of chromoly or not...
